Forbiddenly Bound To  You

Chapter 69: Just Kidding

The kiss was simple, yet Mira felt as if she were floating on clouds, fireworks exploding in her mind. It was a moment suspended in time, one she would never forget. If there were a better way to describe it, she would have used it, but nothing could tell the way her heart raced or the way her senses heightened. Just then, Zamian pulled away, and the crowd erupted into applause, snapping her back to reality. It was only then that Mira realized they were not alone, and her cheeks flushed a deep pink.

Zamian had specifically instructed the priest not to say the words: "If you don’t want the marriage, say it now or forever hold your peace."

Mira had no idea about this clause, and now the next item on the agenda was bouquet tossing. Her mind was still reeling from the kiss, making it hard to focus on the festivities around her.

Mira stood with the other ladies at the back, all ready to catch the bouquet. Being bad at aiming, she finally closed her eyes and tossed it in their direction. Everyone jumped, but the bouquet flew off in a completely different direction. In a moment of perfect timing, Lily caught it just before it could hit her in the face. The girls began to scream, their voices ringing out in excitement, a cacophony of joy that filled the air.

Lily’s heart raced as she grasped the implication of catching the bouquet. Did this mean she was next in line to get married? She quickly raised her head and turned to Mira, who had just opened her eyes. A wide smile spread across Mira’s face as she stared at Lily, her excitement palpable. The thought of love and commitment, of finding someone to share your life with, filled the atmosphere.

As the day wore on, it was time for Zamian and Mira to leave the festivities. Zamian, who had remained calm throughout the celebrations, finally spoke up, breaking through the noise around them. "My wife is looking stunning today." A smile danced on his lips, and Mira felt her heart skip a beat. It was those small moments that made her feel special, cherished.

She turned her head slightly, heat rising in her cheeks as she stared at his lips. All she could remember was the kiss they had shared moments earlier. It lingered in her mind, a sweet reminder of the bond they were forming. He exited through the front of the church and walked toward the car, the crowd parting for him, their admiration evident.

As they both entered the car which zoomed off. "You too," Mira whispered, her voice barely audible, but Zamian pretended not to hear.

"Me?" he teased, a playful glint in his eye.

"You look handsome," she replied, her confidence growing slightly, emboldened by their shared moment.

Their playful banter was interrupted when the car came to a stop in front of a magnificent mansion. As Mira stepped out, she was greeted by a lady. "This way Mrs. Mira. We’d like to change your clothes," she announced, her tone formal yet welcoming.
