Chapter 720: That’s Enough
When Zhang Tao heard Shen Dong announce that the software could be launched, he was also incredibly excited. He had been looking forward to this day from the very start and couldn’t believe it had come so quickly. Now that they could actually start launching, it was fantastic; he could no longer hide his emotions.
He almost threw Shen Dong into the sky, then heard Shen Dong tell him to hold back a bit and not rush it. Zhang Tao felt there was nothing to rush. Hadn’t he already endured the most tedious parts, slowly making improvements? Couldn’t he endure the gradual process of going live?
That was impossible; his patience had been greatly tempered. So, he patted his chest and reassured Shen Dong, "Don’t worry. No matter how tedious the process, I’ll bear it. Whether there’s an initial profit or not, I’m prepared because this is the first ’child’ I’ve created. I’m going to take extra care of it—that’s my plan."
"Now that you’re in this state of mind, I’m already relieved. I will certainly help you during this initial phase and won’t let you fail to launch. I’ll slowly find a spokeswoman. You forward these apps to me first, and I’ll have someone test them. If they perform well, we’ll start."
After saying this, Shen Dong connected his computer to the application and downloaded it. It was a trial version. Upon opening it, he nodded in approval. It was indeed well-developed and not much different from what he had seen before, except it lacked some special effects which would need to be added later, once the original designers were available online.
Of course, that many wasn’t necessary right now; if there were too many, they wouldn’t have enough space, and the initial users wouldn’t be able to afford the memory usage. If it took up too much memory right away, some people might find it useful but wouldn’t download it, limiting its initial popularity.
Thinking this, Shen Dong felt that these initial minor flaws were perfectly acceptable and, after several reviews, found no issues. Zhang Tao was particularly thrilled and had already gone back to his computer to redownload it, starting to test the live feature, which showed one viewer.
Upon launch, it generated no interest. Shen Dong copied the software onto his own phone, then created a link and sent it to Lin Qi, asking her to download and try it out.
Then, he headed to Zhang Tao’s room. Having finished discussing official matters, it was now time for personal ones—to better understand Zhang Tao’s feelings, especially since he had asked Tang Yuchan to add him.
Surely, by now, there had to be something between them. It was time to gossip a bit so he’d have something to discuss with his girlfriend; otherwise, if his girlfriend asked and he knew nothing, that would be quite embarrassing.
