Chapter 631 Clothing
Shen Dong knew he was misunderstood, but he didn’t bother to explain. If he had, it would seem like he was trying too hard to cover something up. The boss swiftly packaged everything and handed the bags to Shen Dong, who, with great efficiency, swiped his card and transferred all the clothes into his car.
After purchasing clothes for the hostesses, it was time to buy outfits for the DJs and other staff. These were provided by the club, so they couldn’t buy them on their own. He took Lin Qi to another place – a more upscale clothing base than the previous one.
The clothes there were a bit revealing, not as much as before, and they had a sexy edge which Lin Qi found acceptable because they were indeed attractive – to the point where she couldn’t resist them. After getting out of the car, they went straight inside, where the dazzling array of clothes left Lin Qi overwhelmed.
That’s when Shen Dong finally spoke up, "Now it’s your turn to choose. Take a look, and grab whatever sets you like. These are for you to wear." Lin Qi didn’t hold back. Since it was on the company’s dime, she was determined to get her fill. She promptly filled her basket with several sets she particularly liked.
The sales associate was caught off guard by such unusual shopping behavior. Not needing to try them on? Just picking out whatever looked good? Most of the hostesses at the bar had very similar body types, and the clothing sizes varied only between S and M, so shopping was incredibly simple – one size fits all.
By the time shopping was done, it was much later than expected. They had bought a massive amount of clothing, all packed into the trunk. It was Lin Qi’s first taste of life with money – buying clothes without a second thought, choosing whatever caught the eye, which surprised her.
If she ever became wealthy, she aspired to be that capricious, without worrying about whether to return items if they didn’t look good; she would simply give them away. Moreover, she felt so tired from selecting clothes that she lost interest by the end and couldn’t fathom shopping again anytime soon.
Shen Dong had paid with his card, not even sure how much he’d spent on clothes that day, but the sales associate’s smile was so broad her eyes were nearly shut. What luck to encounter such a generous customer who didn’t haggle — he paid whatever the amount was.
When leaving, she cheerfully said, "Welcome back anytime!" The two left with a smile and felt extremely tired as soon as they sat in the car. Despite not doing much other than shopping, exhaustion took over, suggesting that maybe Lin Qi wasn’t cut out for shopping sprees. Shen Dong chuckled and said,
"You worked hard today. As a reward, don’t hurry back this evening."
