Chapter 482: Believe in Me_1
Shen Dong knew his temper well, and it was normal for Mr. Ma to disagree. Who would believe someone who had never touched graphic design before? If he were in his shoes, he would never believe in such a person. But others didn’t know that he too had experienced similar situations. Moreover, having the draft made the graphic design work not that difficult.
However, he couldn’t just carelessly suggest changes because no one could perfect something in just one try. It would raise suspicions, which could be troublesome. So, it was better to handle the modifications personally.
Once he had finished editing and sent it over, if he was asked about his thoughts, he would say what he wanted. He couldn’t possibly say he got it right in one go. That would be too suspicious, and he didn’t want to do it that way. It would only earn him a reputation of arrogance, which didn’t really matter.
"Let Mr. Shen try designing it himself. I have things to do here, so I will hang up now. We can get in touch later if needed," said Mr. Ma before hanging up the phone. Then he began selecting other proposals, convinced that Shen Dong’s proposal would not be accepted.
Below, people were cautiously asking which one to use. Mr. Ma spoke up, "When it comes to you, revise it again. None of these are quite right. If you can revise and find the right one, I will reward you generously. You must try your best."
After those words, Mr. Ma no longer stayed outside. On one hand, he was hopeful, never quite getting the feel he wanted from the designs. On the other hand, he worried that the group might never come up with what he desired. He might have to stick with the big brother image, which could hinder their progress.
A good icon can be instantly memorable; if not too ordinary, it would have something special that sticks with people. So, he hoped they would try harder. Returning to his room and lying on his bed, he started pondering which one to use.
Shen Dong sat in front of the computer and opened that version of Photoshop. The current Photoshop was still not perfect; if you wanted to tweak some details, you could only add a few minor touches. The functionality was many times worse than what he had encountered on that computer before. But he had no choice under the current conditions.
He had to make do with what he had, and fortunately, he could barely remember where some features were. Though it was a struggle at times, checking some online resources helped a lot.
Now was not the time to be completely thorough about every feature. Adding a small scarf as an adornment felt like groping in the dark, and it took a long while. Thankfully, after much tweaking, he settled on this version, even though it looked a bit ugly.
If he sent this icon as it was, it would surely be rejected. It was almost unbelievable that he could have created it himself – it was simply too painful to look at.
