Chapter 409: Dead Grandmother
Eleanor Thompson and William Thompson were driven out of the mansion gates by bodyguards.
James Thompson’s inherent coldness toward the siblings was unmasked, leaving no room for pretense.
The two glanced back at the locked gates, each lost in their own thoughts.
William believed the information James had shown them about their lineage, but Eleanor refused to accept it.
Eleanor scoffed coldly, "He obviously faked that information for Julia Land’s sake. Brother, you didn’t believe him, did you?"
William lowered his voice and said softly, "Eleanor, some things we have to accept. The information was clearly detailed—I don’t think he’d use this to deceive us."
Eleanor glared at him unhappily, "Brother, you trust him too easily! Anyway, I don’t believe it. The information could be falsified."
William felt helpless seeing his sister’s stubbornness, "Eleanor, whether you believe it or not, I hope you won’t act recklessly and provoke him again. Otherwise, we’re both finished."
He was satisfied with his current life and didn’t want any changes.
Eleanor rolled her eyes and refused to converse further with her "useless" brother.
William glanced around; there were no cars nearby to catch a ride. "Just call the driver to come pick us up."
