Chapter 404: Annoying Dale Land
Bella Quarter called Maya Chant, "Grandma, Julia Land’s daughter, Dale Land, is planning to get married on September 2nd. I was thinking of having Eleanor reach out to Dale’s fiancé."
"Hmm, that’s a great idea. It’ll also bother Julia and James. I’ll call Eleanor later to check in," Maya added, then asked Bella about her pregnancy plans, "Are you and William prepared for it?"
Bella nodded, "Yes."
"You’ve worked hard during this time."
Maya hung up the phone with a sense of reassurance, then dialed Eleanor Thompson’s number.
"Eleanor, how are you three doing?" The elderly woman’s voice carried warmth.
Eleanor heard Maya’s concern and sweetly replied, "Grandma, don’t worry about us. We’re all doing well. Once I find some time, I’ll go to see you in Alice’s place."
"Good, I’ll be waiting for you. And remember to find a time to pay your respects to your mother. Let her see you." Maya sighed, "Your mother fell in love with the wrong person in her lifetime. Grandma hopes that all of you will have smooth relationships in the future."
In Eleanor’s heart, she had always believed that Julia and her daughter were responsible for her mother’s death, stealing away her father.
No matter what, she stubbornly refused to accept that James wasn’t her father.
Because of this, when Maya brought up her late mother, Chloe Sullivan, Eleanor’s heart welled up with anger once again.
