"The person you asked us to look into, we’ve found out a little, but not much," the Detective said on the phone with a touch of helplessness in his voice.
Bella Quarter sat in her office; upon hearing the Detective’s words, she felt somewhat disappointed, "So what did you manage to find out?"
The Detective continued, "We’ve only found out that they have a daughter."
Bella Quarter frowned slightly, a bit annoyed. She also knew about James Thompson and Julia Land having a daughter, who had been presumed dead for quite some time now—what kind of news was this, "I already know about their daughter."
The Detective gave a small laugh and went on, "We’ve only found out that their daughter recently returned to the country."
"What?" Bella Quarter sat up in shock, "What did you say? Dale Land is supposed to be dead, right?"
The Detective replied, "She is not dead."
Dale Land is actually not dead!
Bella Quarter knitted her brows, "Can you find more specific information on her? Where is she now?"
The Detective said, "We can continue to look, but it’s not certain we’ll find anything."
Bella Quarter’s tone calmed down, "Okay, I’ll wait for your good news."
