Chapter 360: Short-Lived Daughter
Dale Land asked Carson Dunn to wait for her while she went upstairs to shower and quickly get ready to head out.
Before leaving, she and her younger brother high-fived each other.
"Alice darling! Today is another day to strive hard!"
"Sister darling! Today is another day to strive hard!"
After high-fiving, the siblings tearfully cheered each other on for waking up early and getting moving.
Julia Land’s lips twitched slightly.
Both siblings had the habit of sleeping in, so getting up in the morning to exercise was a big deal for them.
"Mommy, I’m skipping breakfast. I’ll grab a steamed bun on the way," Dale Land said as she changed her shoes, "I’m off to work now."
"Okay, go ahead," Julia Land watched Dale Land leave, then turned to see Alice already eating cake by herself. She looked at James Thompson, who had just come out of the shower, "Mr. Thompson, when you pick up Alice from school this afternoon, please take her to get a haircut too."
James nodded, "Okay."
While Alice was busy eating cake, he gently grasped the back of Julia’s head.
