The dinner invitation from Director Huang to Bella Quarter tonight is not exactly a pleasant affair.
Yesterday, just as Bella was stepping out of her car outside the Thompson Group building, a car suddenly rear-ended hers.
Thinking back on yesterday’s rear-end collision still gave Bella the jitters.
And the one who deliberately rear-ended her to scare her was the fired chief financial officer, Lucas Gold.
Lucas Gold was someone Director Huang had recommended for the company.
Director Huang organized tonight’s dinner, supposedly to have Lucas Gold apologize to Bella.
Even though Bella knew that tonight’s dinner wasn’t just about apologies, she still had to go. Otherwise, it would seem that she was backing down.
As the executive assistant, it was Carson’s duty to accompany his boss to various events.
After leaving the chairman’s office, he immediately reported the situation to Dale Land.
