"Julia? What’s happened?" James Thompson touched her forehead with concern.
"I’m fine," Julia Land came back to her senses, striving to keep her voice steady as she ate, thinking about whether her daughter had eaten enough. "Did that man reveal my daughter’s whereabouts?"
James Thompson shook his head, his brow deeply furrowed.
Julia Land despondently set down her chopsticks, staring at the food on the table, a sense of powerlessness washing over her.
Seeing that she had only taken a few bites, James Thompson didn’t try to persuade her to eat more, silently putting down his own chopsticks as well.
