Julia Land sat on the couch, listening to Assistant Scott’s report.
"Uncle Moore took over as chairman on his first day and used your plan to handle the Silicon Express shipwreck and the smuggling case; the Moore Group’s stock price has already stabilized," said Assistant Scott.
Julia nodded—this was expected. "Have the origins of those smuggled goods been traced yet?"
Assistant Scott replied, "We have preliminary clues."
Julia nodded again. "Arrange for the team to intensify the investigation, and send a message to that woman around Uncle Moore—I can help her."
Assistant Scott nodded in acknowledgment.
James Thompson wasn’t at home today; he had gone to talk about life with the parents of Seraphina Langston and the others.
Having finished his report, Assistant Scott left as well.
Sophia Hart called Julia, and upon learning that she was alone at home, she sneaked out while Andrew Benson was in the shower to find Julia.
The two women nestled on the couch, each holding a large watermelon and digging in, enjoying the rare leisure time.
"Ah, this is so nice," Sophia said with satisfaction.
