Chapter 199 Bullying People
Chloe Sullivan had been downcast for the past few days.
Madame Bell noticed it and thought about the charity banquet the Lewis Family was hosting on the cruise ship tonight. She called Arthur.
"Arthur, are you attending the Lewis Family’s banquet tonight? If you are, could you take Chloe with you to clear her mind? I heard they will auction off paintings by Master Mingde tonight; Chloe might be interested."
Arthur hadn’t planned on going to the cruise ship for the banquet tonight, but taking Chloe seemed fine. "Auntie, I’ll pick up Chloe tonight."
Madame Bell sighed as she spoke to Arthur about Julia Land, "I didn’t expect Julia Land to be the woman breaking Chloe’s heart. She even had a child with James Thompson. I wonder if Eleanor and the others will hold a grudge when they grow up."
Arthur frowned, annoyed by the mess. How could Christopher Moore marry a woman who had another man’s child?
He reassured Madame Bell, "Chloe has the protection of the Bell Family now; no need to worry about her being bullied."
Madame Bell thought about it and felt somewhat relieved, though still a bit unsettled.
"The Lewis Family holds a charity banquet every three years, and this time it’s on a cruise ship."
Assistant Scott drove Julia Land to the cruise ship today.
Julia changed into her dress at the office and did her makeup before leaving.
