Noah Quarter left Imperial View Gardens and had his driver take him to Jade Gardens.
The lights were not turned on inside the house.
It was not yet completely dark outside.
He stood in the marriage room he had once shared with Julia Land, looking outside.
"Noah, your stomach isn’t good. Today I learned a new recipe for a porridge that’s easy on the stomach and cooked it for you."
He realized he had never forgotten Julia’s calm yet caring voice.
Why was he so emotionally obtuse?
Noah took out his mobile phone from his trouser pocket and called Christopher Moore, "Mr. Moore, is everything ready on your end?"
He was ready to announce his disengagement from Arabella Shaw.
At that moment, the fleeing Christopher Moore took a cigarette out of his cigarette box.
