Chapter 200 Jealous Again
The door was pushed open, and Sister Grace entered, wheeling in a wheelchair with Crystal Harper revealing a look of surprise on her face.
"Miss Summers, you’ve finally woken up!"
"Miss Harper." Serena Summers brushed off the hand wrapped around her waist and greeted her with a smile.
"Miss Summers, I came specifically to thank you. The doctor said that if it wasn’t for your timely intervention, my leg might have been ruined." Crystal Harper looked up at Serena with eyes full of gratitude.
Beyond that, Serena also detected a hint of loss in those eyes.
Crystal Harper forced a smile and said, "I probably won’t be able to film for a while. The role in Director Carter’s movie was hard-won, I didn’t expect..."
Sister Grace, looking downcast, heaved a sigh of regret, "We just terminated our contract with Director Carter a couple of days ago. He’s currently looking for new talent. The role of the third female lead is really charming; it’s like it was tailor-made for Crystal. It’s such a shame... our Crystal just doesn’t have that fate."
Serena looked at them, unsure of how to offer comfort.
She cleared her throat, "Miss Harper, you should focus on your recovery. There will always be opportunities in the future."
Crystal Harper lifted her spirits with a smile, nodding slowly, "You’re right, opportunities will come! By the way, you can call me Crystal. Can I call you Serena?"
