By the time Declan Summers regained his senses, he realized that his back was soaked with a cold sweat.
He immediately opened his contacts and called Evan Summers.
The call was quickly connected.
"Hello? Second brother? Are you alright? I heard there was a heavy downpour on Prosperity Hill. How are you? Are you injured? Everyone at home is really worried about you." Evan’s voice came through, filled with concern, warming Declan’s heart.
"I’m fine, I’ve already come down from the mountain." Declan was feeling conflicted as he thought about Serena and quickly asked, "Evan, has anything happened at home in the two months I’ve been away?"
There was a pause on the other end of the phone, and a flicker of pain crossed Evan’s eyes.
