He snatched the family rules, his tone icy, "No need."
"Lucas Shaw, remember what you said today. Serena is not the orphan the outside world speaks of; she is my, Edward Selwyn’s, junior sister. If you dare to bully her, I will never let you off."
Lucas Shaw nodded seriously, his voice earnest, "Serena is not an orphan; she is my wife. I wouldn’t let anyone be wronged, especially her."
Edward Selwyn nodded slightly with reluctant satisfaction, still with a cold expression, "It better be that way."
He paused before adding, "Tomorrow at noon I will administer the last acupuncture treatment to Serena, and afterward, you can take her home."
After speaking, he squinted his eyes and gave Lucas Shaw a cold glance, "I hope these past few days have taught you a lesson. Our Serena is not one to be bullied. If there is a next time, I will never give you the chance to see her again."
"I understand, thank you big uncle," Lucas Shaw stood tall, gently smoothing out his slightly wrinkled suit, his expression grave.
