Serena Summers’s fair and delicate little face showed an unnatural pallor.

Edward Selwyn laughed mockingly, his icy gaze seemingly wishing to devour Liam Shaw whole.
"The medicines, I collected them diligently to treat Serena’s illness. Yet she didn’t even think before giving them to Lucas Shaw."
"You, how do you know so much? You and Serena..." Liam Shaw asked uncertainly.
Edward Selwyn looked down, a gentle touch crossing the dark depths of his eyes, "Serena Summers is my junior sister; I’ve watched her grow up since she was little. Serena married Lucas Shaw to repay a childhood debt, and now with a life for a life, the debt has been settled. From now on, I hope your Shaw Family will not disturb Serena again."
He tightened his grip on Serena’s hand and stepped away.
