Chapter 99: My Child Came from the Countryside
Lucas Shaw is filled with immense regret now.
Regret for not having dealt with the Summers Family trouble immediately, which resulted in Serena Summers suffering so much.
"I’m fine, I’ve always said that my personality means I never suffer a loss," Serena laughed carefree.
She held the man’s neck tightly, planting a soft kiss on his cheek.
"Grace Summers bullied me before, and I’ve already got my payback. Plus, everything that Grace Summers desperately protects is utterly worthless to me."
Serena had never thought about competing with Grace for Mr. Summers and Mrs. Summers’ affection, nor that of her three brothers.
When she learned that her biological parents were still alive, there was indeed a moment of joy.
But that did not mean she was willing to humble herself for familial love, giving up everything else.
"There were many reporters and media present at today’s banquet, those audio clips and transaction records are enough for Grace to worry about," Serena said with a faint smile on her face.
Mischief filled her clear, bright eyes.
