Once the patient’s emergency treatment was complete and fluid infusion was underway, Yan Ye called all the doctors out for a meeting in the physicians’ lounge.

The nurse explained, "This boy is very stubborn. No matter what we say, he just refuses to be infused! He even curses and hits us nurses! Even when Dr. Ruan went to check on him, he poked her with the needle."
"So you’re saying it was the patient’s own emotional instability and acting out that caused this?" Yan Ye inquired.
"Yes," said the nurse, "Director Yan, as you saw, the mess on the floor was all his own doing! The other patients in this ward have been disturbed by his noise."
"Patient in bed three is indeed troublesome!" Ma Mei, his attending doctor, was rebuked by this boy every time she made rounds, always leaving her seething with anger.
Yan Ye nodded, "The last thing a heart patient needs is to lose temper. If he keeps getting angry and causing his condition to flare up, that’s going to be troublesome! Have you discussed this issue with his family?"
"His family has given up on him; they haven’t been here for days," said the nurse.
