Chapter 837: Do You Know Each Other?
"Someone’s here! I’ll go see who it is." An Hao quickly pushed Qin Jian away, got dressed, and got out of bed.
When she opened the door, standing there was Sister Guifang from downstairs.
"Oh, it seems I knocked at an awkward time!" Zhang Guifang looked at An Hao, her hair a mess, her cheeks flushed charmingly red, her clothes deliberately straightened but still creased. Anyone could tell what had been going on.
"What are you talking about, Sister?" An Hao smiled sheepishly, "I just woke up from a nap."
"Alright, no need to explain. I’ve already seen Brother Qin Jian’s shoes at the door." Zhang Guifang teased An Hao with a smile, "You young people have it good! Alas, we are old now."
"Don’t tease me, Sister. Don’t stand at the door—come in and sit down." An Hao widened the door, inviting her in.
Zhang Guifang waved her hand in refusal: "I won’t come in. I’m here to tell you not to bother cooking tonight, come eat at my place! I’ve been meaning to invite you over for a while now, and I haven’t yet! Since both you and Brother Qin Jian are home today, you should both come over to my place!"
"Well... okay then." An Hao agreed, believing in the importance of reciprocating gestures to strengthen relationships. "Sister, you go ahead; I’ll tidy up and be right there."
"Alrighty. Sister will cook you something delicious tonight." After saying that, Zhang Guifang went downstairs first.
An Hao returned to the bedroom and found Qin Jian already up.
