Chapter 83 The Unreasonable Jealous Woman
Emily Parker yelled out in a sharp voice, and fearing that Carlos would notice something unusual, she quickly hung up.
Carlos, being scolded inexplicably, was in disbelief, staring at his cell phone.
He hadn’t realized that the voice on the other end was off, and it wasn’t the person he was looking for.
"Maria Carter, you’ve got some nerve.
Just because I asked you to come home early, you call me scum?"
Carlos, somewhat helplessly, put down his phone and glanced at the contact name "younger sister" on the display.
Carlos had been too busy lately, and since Mrs. Carter was hospitalized, the matter of his sister fell to Evan Palmer to deal with.
Evan had always said his sister was well-behaved, but Carlos felt that since she started high school, she had become increasingly rebellious, wearing heavy makeup, smoking, and hanging out with a messy crowd.
He remembered that next year she would be in her final year of high school and if she didn’t want to be sent abroad to study, she’d have to perform well in the college entrance exams.
