Chapter 1521: Reunion
Rain had taken precautions to safeguard the information about his friends and family who were still training. Aware of the risks involved in the mission, he had encrypted and sealed this information within the depths of his consciousness, ensuring that it would remain hidden even if he were to fall into enemy hands.
But even as he maintained this mental barrier, Rain’s focus remained divided. The pocket dimension he had created to shield them from Arel’s attacks required a constant stream of mana to sustain, as did the Time Dilation effect he had employed to manipulate the flow of time around them as well..
It was a delicate balance, one that required him to carefully allocate his limited reserves of mana. As a result, Rain found himself with far less mana to spare than usual, leaving him vulnerable during the fight.
Yet despite the strain, Rain knew that maintaining these defenses was crucial to their survival. Even as he unleashed his Origin Punch upon Arel’s core, a part of his consciousness remained vigilant, ensuring that his defenses held firm against any potential threats.
"She failed, huh? That doesn’t surprise me... she had experienced so little drawbacks that she didn’t have any experience in dealing with someone like you."
Rain turned around and then saw Lonos for the first time... he looked like a being made of mercury. It was really weird... he also didn’t look much bigger than a human, so it was hard to understand why he chose that kind of body.
"Can’t you bring her back?" Rain asked while showing the fragments of Arel’s core in his hands.
"I can, but we will deal with you first. Fortus, no more games. Come here immediately."
As the final battle approached, the urgency of the situation compelled Fortus to heed Lonos’ command without hesitation. Despite his large stature and unusual form resembling a massive, multi-sided dice, Fortus exuded an unmistakable air of authority and power.
His towering presence, devoid of any discernible organic matter, suggested a being of pure matter and consciousness, transcending conventional physical forms. Standing at a colossal height of one hundred meters, Fortus projected an aura of ancient wisdom and immense strength.
With his arrival, the tension in the air grew palpable. It was clear that Fortus was not to be trifled with, his very presence marking the gravity of the impending confrontation. As Rain stood before him, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease, knowing that the battle ahead would be unlike anything he had ever faced before.
"I guess... I can no longer keep them out of the loop," Rain said. "Well, I should have know that this would happen eventually."
