Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix

Chapter 1468: Learning from the enemies

"As expected, the first skills are the most important and the only ones related to the creation of matter," Rain thought.

Ateros certainly wasn’t an ordinary machine god... that was probably why the dragon god chose him as a target. Perhaps the fight would have been pretty easy, but there was no point in worrying about that.

The skill of Energy Absorption leveled up.

The skill Energy Conversion Leveled up.

The energy path leveled up.

The energy path had reached level fifty already, thanks to the training that Rain did, but he only had the first three skills, so there wasn’t much that he could do about that... he was getting the points of each level up, at least. He wondered what he could do about that, but doing the experiments that the machine gods did to obtain the same result was probably impossible.

"You should take a short break, at least," Elisabetha said. "Even I am starting to feel uncomfortable here, and I don’t have any flesh. You are repairing yourself fast enough, but that doesn’t mean that things are fine."

"I can take this a little longer... if I can’t endure at least this much, I won’t have any chances against the dragon god," Rain said.

The memory of his defeat at the hands of the dragon god lingered in Rain’s mind like a lingering shadow, a constant reminder of the one adversary who had managed to best him in battle. For all intents and purposes, he should have perished in that encounter and his life snuffed out in a blaze of fury. But against all odds, he had survived, clinging to life by the slimmest of margins.

The desire for revenge burned fiercely within Rain’s heart, a fierce determination to reclaim his honor and settle the score with the one who had brought him to the brink of death. The dragon god’s victory had not only dealt a blow to Rain’s pride but had also altered the course of his life forever, leaving scars both physical and emotional that would never fully heal.

And so, as he prepared for his rematch against his foe, Rain’s resolve remained unshaken. For Rain, it wasn’t just a matter of pride or personal vendetta—it was a chance to reclaim control over his own destiny, to prove to himself and to the world that he was not so easily defeated. And as he squared off against the dragon god once more, he vowed to emerge victorious, no matter the cost.
