Chapter 9: Darkblood Sentinels
Lucas stood before a blood altar stained with the remains of three captives. Thick red liquid flowed through ancient runes carved into the black obsidian. Every drop of blood that fell made the altar vibrate with terrifying energy.
"Perfect," Lucas whispered as he watched the blood of Sir Gareth and his two soldiers absorb into the altar. "The blood of elite soldiers... this will produce something special."
Selena stood beside him, her hands still stained with fresh blood. Her red eyes radiated with terrifying satisfaction. "My King, I can feel the power flowing from this altar. Their blood... is of the highest quality."
Lucas placed his hand on the altar’s surface. Dark energy immediately flowed through his body, and the system began to react.

Lucas raised both hands, and the altar began to glow with a blinding red light. Ancient runes began to swirl, creating complex geometric patterns. The flowing blood began to boil, emitting black smoke that smelled of iron and death.
