Bai Yiran noticed Luo Chen seemed a bit unhappy and quickly smiled, "Hehe, I’m just trying to save money for the both of us. Didn’t we agree to study abroad after graduation? So, we can’t spend money recklessly."
Luo Chen sighed, looking at Bai Yiran with some confusion, "Your dad is such a wealthy big boss. I can’t believe he wouldn’t give you money if you asked. If you asked for more, we could go abroad. Why struggle so much now?"
"You know, I haven’t asked him for money since I was 18. He’s him and I’m me. Don’t mention it again!" Bai Yiran’s mood turned particularly low at the mention of her father.
"Okay, okay! I won’t say it anymore! I just don’t want you to overwork yourself. I feel for you!" As he spoke, Luo Chen comfortingly patted Bai Yiran’s head.
Bai Yiran nodded, looking at Luo Chen, "I know you care about me, it’s okay. It’s hard to find a job in your field, but it’s alright. I teach English and French at a foreign language training class now, and I’ve taken a job teaching piano as well. With the money I’ve saved before, we don’t have to worry. We’ll take it slow!"
Luo Chen nodded somewhat disappointedly, "Mm, we’ll take it slow! I have faith in you!"
Bai Yiran glanced at her watch, "Oh no, we can’t talk anymore, I have to go teach. If I don’t leave now, I’ll be late!" Saying that, she got up and gave Luo Chen a quick kiss.
"Hey! Pay the bill before you leave!"
"Oh, okay!" Bai Yiran laughed, went to the cashier to settle the bill, then waved to Luo Chen and ran out.
