Chapter 73: Eternal Union
When he conversed with Clara Bennett, his emotions would shift based on her attitude towards him.
This personality was quite dangerous. Once he felt offended or angered, and the thought of revenge arose in his mind, William Foster would immediately alter his demeanor, becoming cold and ruthless, and start calculating how to counterattack with a lethal blow.
When they arrived at the location where the wedding gifts were placed, Clara quickly found a box covered with cloth, gently moving aside a small handmade plaque that read "Eternal Union."
"This is so thoughtful. This little tag must have been specially customized for our big day, right?"
She curiously asked her partner beside her.
To this, William Foster merely nodded indifferently and gave a faint reply, "Yes."
His voice was low yet polite, seeming unwilling to say much more.
Clara didn’t notice the subtle change in her boyfriend’s mood and continued cheerfully bending over to untie the decorative red string and stickers.
While she was carefully working on it, she suddenly heard William Foster’s voice questioning from behind, "Why did you choose to marry secretly in this way?"
This question obviously took Clara by surprise, but as a professional woman, she quickly adjusted her expression before turning to look at him.
"You know, because I am planning to enter the entertainment industry and develop my career. Before officially debuting, if I rashly announced our marriage, it would certainly cause a lot of unnecessary trouble, as there are not many girls who have just started to shine or haven’t yet truly entered this industry who would do something like that."
After listening to the entire explanation, William Foster felt somewhat surprised. Clearly, this answer wasn’t the kind of ordinary reply he expected.
