Chapter 36: He Took All the Advantages
Edward Bennett tried to avoid eye contact, seeming a bit flustered, "What are you talking about? I don’t understand. I’m just purely moved by her efforts."
James Bennett crossed his arms, looking unconvinced, "You surrendered too quickly, it feels off. Did Clara give you any benefits to speak for her?"
Edward shook his head, "I didn’t receive any benefits. Alright, actually I intended to stop Clara, but she said she liked me the most, and said I’m the best. Those words made it impossible for me to refuse, so I had to support her."
James Bennett and Charles Bennett were almost simultaneously shocked, "!!!"
They both regretted not acting in time earlier!
How come Edward got all the advantage!
Charles clenched his fist, looking displeased, "Second brother, come and have a match with me, I’m really pissed off right now."
His voice revealed an urgent emotion, clearly truly angered by something.
James smiled at him, then turned to his brother standing aside and said, "I’ll be the referee, let Charles throw the first three punches."
His tone was relaxed and slightly humorous, seeming to anticipate the match would be interesting.
Edward wore a discontented expression, loudly protesting, "Hmph, whatever you say is useless, anyway, the person Clara values most is me, yes, it’s me!"
His arms were crossed in front of his chest, appearing very firm and confident, not caring at all about his brothers’ teasing or opposing opinions.
