Chapter 27: Fracture Points
A young man sat atop a ragged stone, ashes raining around him. However, an invisible field caused the particles to part, leaving him untouched in the heart of the downpour.
Rhys slowly exhaled, a plume of breath visible in the cool air. A satisfied smile graced his lips as a familiar notification chimed in his mind.

To break through to the Energy Gathering realm, he had to sense and bond with a specific aspect of an element.
This choice would define the nature of his Qi for the rest of his life. Of course, it was possible for a cultivator to bond with two or more elements, but that was extremely rare.
The strain a single element placed on their constitution was already large; multiple elements would cause it to break.
