After Li Yi returned to the Golden Academy, he didn’t have time to observe the changes here; he first went back to his residence.
This was a Cultivation House transformed by the Daoist Artifact Tianyi Hall. It looked small, but actually had a world within. He didn’t take it with him on this cross-world journey but left it for Tu Daoist to use.
Just as he was about to enter the Cultivation House, suddenly, an abrupt voice sounded.
"Li Yi?"
The voice was somewhat familiar, yet carried a hint of disbelief, as if surprised to see Li Yi return.
Li Yi stopped in his tracks and immediately looked in the direction of the voice. He saw a tall and strong man standing in front of a Cultivation House, looking at him. This was someone he knew, it was Hu Fei, the Evolver he had met in the Sixth World.
He remembered that back then, he, Hu Fei, Zhao Fangji, and Jiang Mingtian had gone to pick the silver exotic fruit, only to mistakenly enter the Barbaric World and were defeated by the warriors of Shoushan Village. They all became captives.
Although Li Yi managed to escape Shoushan Village with a mouthful of Heart Blood, Hu Fei, Zhao Fangji, and Jiang Mingtian weren’t so lucky. They were sold as slaves by the people of Shoushan Village.
Even though Li Yi tried to rescue them, he ultimately failed because he was too weak to venture in that world. In the end, he had no choice but to retreat.
He thought it would be difficult to see those three again. Unexpectedly, he encountered Hu Fei again at the Golden Academy today.
"I specifically moved my Cultivation House near yours just to one day meet you, and I really did manage to wait for you." When Hu Fei saw Li Yi, his gaze was complex, containing both gratitude and a bit of guilt.
