Zheng Gong talked extensively with Li Yi about many recent matters, both big and small, each of paramount importance, relating to the shifts in the situation. However, from these discussions, it wasn’t hard to see that things were increasingly becoming abnormal. There were supernatural incidents in the old city district that couldn’t be resolved, suspect mythical creatures had been discovered deep in the danger zones, and the defense line in the Ruined District had been breached... Additionally, the Investigative Bureau had suffered devastating losses.

If a second Sky Tipping event were to happen at this time, that would be the end of it all.

The more Li Yi listened, the more silent, the more uneasy he became.

Although the Investigative Bureau had made many efforts and tried hard, he also recognized the root of the problem.
