As the two of them walked down the bustling stone-paved road, Clara’s voice remained as blunt as ever, her tone flat and Emotionless as always.
"Edward will be there," she said, her eyes scanning the crowd ahead with little interest. "He’s one of our classmates. His family—Xeno—are among the confirmed attendees."
Reo’s steps slowed for a moment, and a sharp grin crept onto his face. "Edward... huh."
Of course he remembered. That smug bastard. His punches back then were fresh in Reo’s mind—each one like a nail driven into his pride. Weak, frail, humiliated... It was agony to be beaten down while powerless. But now.

"Hey... Clara. Could you start calling me Reo from now on?" His voice was soft, almost emotionless. "It’s a new name I’ve branded myself with since I left the Academy."
Clara looked at him curiously, tilting her head slightly. She didn’t pry—she never did. After a moment’s pause, she simply nodded. "Alright. Reo it is."
A small silence settled between them before she broke it again, her tone casual but tinged with curiosity. "Is Althea inside you?"
