Clara hesitated as she stood at the edge of the glowing temple. Her instincts told her to investigate, but another part of her urged caution.

She ultimately chose to remain in guard of us for now.

If there was one thing she had learned from this ordeal, it was that the Abyss Tower held dangers far beyond what she had expected. Rushing in blindly could very well mean death.

Turning her gaze toward the two unconscious figures—Reo and Althea—Clara bit her lip hard enough to draw blood. The coppery taste brought her a sense of clarity.

She had always considered herself a prodigy, perhaps the strongest of her generation. But now? Without Reo and Althea, she wouldn’t have lasted even an hour.

Her golden eyes focused on Althea, a cold curiosity flickering in them. Despite showing E Ranked power. Althea had defeated a C- ranked Cyclops.

It didn’t make sense. How could someone with such low measurable strength produce that kind of overwhelming power? Was there something hidden beneath her aura?

Meanwhile, Reo’s body slowly began to recover. His arm regenerated completely, the tissue stitching itself back together under the effects of the potion. Clara breathed a small sigh of relief and moved to examine his arm more closely.

Tilting her head with innocent curiosity, she continued to study him. His body wasn’t defined in a sculpted way—no chiseled abs or flashy muscles

but it had an unmistakable ruggedness. A masculine resilience. She gently pressed her fingers against his chest, feeling the hardness of his frame. Compared to her own soft and polished skin, the difference was striking.

Without realizing it, she had cradled his head in her lap. Her expression softened slightly, a faint smile tugging at her lips. She looked down at him as he lay unconscious, her fingers brushing his hair away from his forehead.
