Chapter 77: Noah And Aurora
Inside the Internal Meeting Chamber
The thick steel doors hissed open, revealing a large oval room lined with runic pillars, humming mana engines, and a towering central mirror showing a rotating 3D map of the continent. Red markers blinked across vast territories—each one a fallen city.
Hundreds of Evolvers had already gathered, some clad in shiny armor, others wrapped in torn combat gear soaked with dried blood.
Whispers filled the room, tension thick as the airship’s engines vibrated beneath their feet.
Ryuzen entered with John, Maki and Venus in tow. No one spoke to them, but eyes lingered — some curious, some wary. They were newcomers, after all, survivors from a ruined outpost, and not everyone trusted strays.
A woman with silver braids and a holographic badge stepped forward. Her voice carried clearly.
"Welcome, survivors. I am Commander Dama from Blood Legion of the Horizon Alliance. First, let me say—we grieve with you. The fall of Belfort was not just your loss, but a loss for all mankind."
She paused. A map of Belfort bloomed behind her, once vibrant with life, now smothered in a haze of darkness. Red pulse lines radiated outward showing the aftermath of the Beast Tide.
"But grieving must come later. We do not have that luxury now."
The screen shifted again, revealing a network of cities and outposts connected by glowing veins of energy routes.
"We’ve confirmed it," she continued. "The Hollows aren’t acting randomly. Something, or someone, is driving them to target human settlements with well executed plan. Titan-Class Hollows appearing this deep inland is no coincidence. There’s a superior hollow’s intelligence behind it."
Ryuzen narrowed his eyes. He had encountered one of the superior hollows who can talk and understand everything about humans. But he couldn’t reveal that.
