Chapter 38: Sacred Sun Dragon
Grakar witnessed his lord’s miraculous magic firsthand and was amazed. Though his lord seemed weak, he held incredible potential, just like a true dragon.
From there, Ryu and Grakar headed back to the same banyan tree where the Sun Crow had lived.
Ryu, now in his human form, climbed through the aerial roots like an agile monkey, while Grakar stood in awe. He hadn’t even known his lord could transform into a human as well.
His eyes were filled with disbelief.
"What exactly is the identity of my lord? Sometimes he acts weak, other times he feels overwhelmingly mysterious. I can’t fathom his origin."
On the other hand, Ryu finally reached the top, where nestled inside the tree’s core lay a glowing, shimmering golden egg.
At first glance, one might assume it was the crow’s egg. But this egg was far from normal. It was nearly the size of a basketball, and part of its shell had already been broken and eaten.
Judging by the signs, the crow had been in the process of consuming it.
"Could it be that the crow was originally ordinary, but evolved after eating this?" Ryu guessed, struck by a terrifying possibility.
And when the system activated its basic appraisal, everything became clear.
