Chapter 76: S-rank Encounter
"Isn’t this a sight." I speak, my tone dripping with pungent sarcasm.
A gathering of monsters.
I almost choke with laughter, but I swallow it and walk in.
The atmosphere is tense. The heat in the room is no joke. Even though there’re windows present in the room, the cool breeze blowing in from them still do nothing to ease the heat.
As I walk, my two hands at the back of my waist, and my head held high..
"Halt." One of the men gathered in the room speaks up.
I pause immediately, not taking another step. I flick my head up, my gaze sweeping over them, studying them for the second time.
K’s at the far end of the room, standing next to the window— looking outside, not even minding me or any other person present.
The other four S-ranks are sitting on a large, round couch that surrounds a wooden center table.
My eyes lock with the one that commanded me to halt. His eyes are pure white. No colors in them, and his hair is short, brown with streaks of white. His face is riddled with wrinkles and his expression is stern, almost hostile.
He’s dressed in black pants, no shirt or anything else. Only a strap that wraps around his back and chest, holding his large shield at his back.
"You must be Gislow, the guildmaster." I speak with a casual tone. The smile underneath my mask never fades, and my eyes stay locked in with his.
