The Seer was silent for a moment, watching Lucas as the circle of softly glowing runes flickered faintly beneath her. Though puzzled at first, she seemed to grasp that these were no ordinary symbols, they carried power.
Lucas didn’t rush. He sat across from her outside the rune circle and closed his eyes briefly. Drawing in a slow breath, he began to chant softly under his breath, ancient syllables that rolled from his tongue with precision. It was the first stage of the rite, aligning their souls through resonance. His voice barely stirred the air, but the runes responded, glowing slightly brighter, pulsing gently like a heartbeat.
The moment felt still. He was focused. She remained seated, steady and composed, yet her eyes never left him.
When the chants ended, the room grew quiet again. Lucas looked up, locking eyes with her.
"There’s something I need to explain," he said calmly, his voice no longer ceremonial but grounded and clear. "The technique I used just now, it’s part of something greater. A technique erased from cultivation records. It’s called the Dual Cultivation Technique."
She tilted her head slightly but didn’t speak.

The Seer’s expression remained unreadable, though her eyes flickered with the kind of intrigue that couldn’t be feigned.

You have an abundance of Yin energy, but it’s incomplete. You need a source of Yang energy compatible enough to complement your flow. That’s what I can offer."
Now she raised a brow. "And this rite....this soul connection you mentioned earlier?"
Lucas nodded. "It’s called a Soul Binding. It’s a high-level application of the technique. Rare. Dangerous. It forges a deep tether between two cultivators... creating a shared growth path. Power, senses, even spiritual awareness, it all deepens. But it comes with risks... trust is the only foundation that makes it work."
