Aurex’s eyes flashed and he realized that he wouldn’t be able to control the situation himself anymore. He didn’t know Sylas, so he also had no idea that the kid had actually done this on purpose. In fact, he was still under the impression that whatever happened here had far more to do with the C-tier following Sylas than Sylas himself.
Without a choice, he could only accelerate back. He didn’t want to get caught in the crossfire of whatever mesh system lit up to deal with them.
But after he had gotten a distance away, he was taken aback by the fact that the mesh system didn’t immediately act. It was like it was hesitating, stuck in a limbo and not sure of whether there was a real threat or not.
Whether one was considered a true Rune Master or not, as a member of the Sanctum, all of them had a base understanding of Runes. As a C-tier, Aurex was more clear about what was happening than most.
That was when the realization struck him. It really had been done on purpose.
His eyes narrowed as they landed on Old Brama. Even now, he was certain that the one managing all of this was this old man. But he had never heard of him.

Aurex didn’t get much more of a chance to think about things because several figures had already begun rushing in from the surroundings. With a frown, he could only touch down.
The defense units and law enforcement branch of the Sanctum didn’t come from any one particular Lineage. Instead, there was a quota to be met by all Lineages. Every cycle, there was an administered trial to become one of the Sentinels.
The Sentinels only cared about one thing and one thing only:
Combat prowess.
