Yang Ming sighed, "How about we don’t discuss this topic anymore? It’s a tangled mess, and I can’t fully devote myself to the Empire right now."

Hanton’s father nodded thoughtfully, "Will you continue to expose those corrupt officials? It’s a personal question from me."

"Do you support this?"

"Yes, those officials are utterly terrible!" Hanton’s father cursed, "They already enjoy local privileges, yet they illegally amass wealth and suck the people dry, more detestable than insects!"

"Uh, I might disappoint you," Yang Ming said with a wry smile, "I’ve now joined the Supermodified Organization and have promised the Elder Court not to continue exposing corrupt officials online."

"Why?"

Hanton’s father said seriously, "If something can be done for this country, why not do it? Your online exposures are reasonable and legal; why should you be targeted?"

Yang Ming shrugged, "They say it’s detrimental to the government’s image and social stability."
