Yan Chen recalled the woman that he had injured the other day. Her eyes had sparkled with joy as soon as they met, and she did not hesitate to approach him. She seemed almost like a lost child who was seeking refuge from the first person she saw that she trusted.
Lan Waihu definitely trusted and loved Yan Chen wholly. Even if she were mad at him, that trust and love would not change. However, the first reaction that he had when he saw her was anger. He thought that his lady had pretended to be Little Fox, so he pushed her away at once.
The more she claimed to be Little Fox, the angrier he got. He bombarded her with so many questions, but she could not even answer one. "If you really are Little Fox, answer me this one important question: where is our baby? Where is the child in your belly?"
Shocked, the woman could not answer his question. In fact, she could barely remember anything. The woman was still wearing the clothes from the enemy that he hated the most. She never stopped trying to hug him as he was the only one that she remembered after escaping. Yan Chen, however, acknowledged her plea with a sneer and said that Little Fox had never left his side.
As soon as she heard his words, she went crazy. Her bloodshot eyes clearly showed her indignation. She screamed at him and claimed that the other woman was an imposter. She was ready to kill and slash the woman into pieces.
Her vile visage was something that Yan Chen had never seen. To him, she was a crazy woman. Driven by anger, Yan Chen hit her with a fatal attack. He was simply unconvinced that the woman was his wife.
Although he kept telling himself that he did was the right thing, the look of astonishment and disbelief in the woman’s eyes still haunted him. It made him feel so uncomfortable that he left at once. Every now and then, he would think about the woman, and his heart would ache for her.
