Gu Xijiu asked Yan Chen a few more questions and did not find anything to be suspicious about. She agreed that the injured woman that she saw was indeed different from Lan Waihu. Perhaps, the woman was only a puppet created by the people from the Blue Fox Planet. It was highly likely, as their technology was clearly more advanced than what they had in the Starry Crescent Land.
Nonetheless, there was still a chance that the lady was a distant relative of Lan Waihu since she was still part of the Blue Fox family. Although this matter was important, Gu Xijiu had to leave as she had many other things to attend to for now.
Meanwhile, Yan Chen stood where he was and looked at his own hands, blankly. The woman was clearly not Lan Waihu, but his heart ached for her as soon as he hit her. Suddenly, he noticed something. "Who is that?" He turned around abruptly to check.
"Yan Chen, it is me." Lan Waihu appeared from behind a tree and ran towards him.
"Don’t run so fast. You are pregnant now, so you have to be more careful." Yan Chen quickly grabbed her hand.
Lan Waihu was smiling at him very sweetly. "I know. I will be careful. This baby did not come easy. It belongs to the Yan family."
