Gu Xijiu was reluctant to bring him along as she believed that she would be able to move faster if she acted alone. Kun Xueyi could read her mind and decided to explain himself. "Miss Gu, I am not going to help you find the jade statue. I am only going to disguise as you."

Without anyone to step in for you, he will soon find out that you had disappeared; he would surely go into a frantic search. He had a point. Also, since Kun Xueyi was a master at disguising himself, Yun Yanli would not notice a thing. Therefore, she agreed to his plan. Swiftly, she went straight back into the golden house with Kun Xueyi using her teleportation ability.
