Chapter 2364: The Poisonous Swamp

Dark, thundering clouds filled the entire sky, shielding the land from the sun. Peals of thunder accompanied streaks of lightning. A fierce gale sprung up, sweeping across the fields in a swaying motion. Leaves danced in the air, swirling and twisting in the gusts of wind.
The bonfire died out in the wind, and only the bamboo tree stood unmoving.

As soon as she landed outside, she immediately spat out a mouthful of blood. Her head started spinning while she suffered from multiple blackouts. She had to steady herself at the bamboo tree while trying to catch her breath. She needed to calm down quickly.
Too weak to stand, she decided to lean against the bamboo tree and sat herself down. Time ticked by slowly, and after an hour of trying to stay calm, she spat another three or four mouthfuls of blood. Only then did the situation improve.
She rubbed her forehead in disbelief. She wanted to slap herself. After everything they had been through, she was finally determined to let him go. Never had she expected that a hot kiss would cause her to completely surrender to him, so madly that they almost made love.
