Chapter 2272: Stop Pulling Me. I Will Go With You
The little wolf kept looking at her with its bloodshot eyes. All of a sudden, it grabbed the hem of her dress and started to pull her away, like it was trying to take her somewhere.
She stood in bewilderment. "Where are you taking me to?" She asked.
The wolf gave her a low purr and continued to pull.
Gu Xijiu did not quite understand its intention. "All right, all right. Stop pulling me. I will go with you." She finally gave in. Was it trying to tell her that there was somebody else who needed her help?
The wolf was able to understand the human language so as soon as Gu Xijiu agreed to go with it, it turned around and started racing in the direction from which it came. While running, it turned its head around for a few times, for fear that Gu Xijiu might not catch up with it.
Gu Xijiu followed the wolf closely. "Don’t worry. Since I have promised to go with you, I will definitely go with you. Keep running."
Thus, the little wolf started to speed up. Gu Xijiu always knew that she was destined to meet with many majestic beasts from every corner of the world. She had met many as it was; for example, the mussel, Lu Wu, and the Clouded Leopard King.
What she did not expect was that she would receive a child someday. It was a child that she could not abandon. The fair-skinned child was only two or three months old, with big, bright eyes, long lashes, and crimson cheeks. The baby was now wrapped in a baby blanket.
The wolf needed Gu Xijiu to save the baby. He was found under a big tree. Two bodies were lying not too far away from him. The woman was wearing a white dress, while the man was lying close to her in green robes.
