Chapter 2148: Stand Still
"Roar!" Chaos made its displeasure clear.
Gu Xijiu finally found out the source of the animal howling. It was from this beast! Although the volume was different, the pitch was more or less the same.
Before she realized it, the beast finally revealed itself from the constraint of the red fog. It jumped right out and landed on the ground. Gu Xijiu then realized that the beast had eight pairs of eyes, all hidden under its wings.
The colors were different in all of its eyes. There was red, black, golden yellow, and brownish grey. Every pair of eyes shone brightly under the light, even glistening like the charm of a gem. The look in its eyes, however, was rather ruthless.
All eight pairs of eyes were on Gu Xijiu. The terrifying sight sent a cold chill down her spine. Frozen, she stood still. Unable to move her hands and legs at all, she felt as if she had been tied down.
Despite her encounter with many different beasts in the Shura World, this was her first time seeing such a brutal one. Terrified, she wanted to teleport to safety with Di Fuyi.
"If you do not wish to see everyone die, stand still!" Di Fuyi spoke to her in a hoarse voice. He raised his arm and circled Gu Xijiu in a protective layer. "Wait here patiently."
Gu Xijiu remained quiet.
