Chapter 2122: Is He Really Her Fiance?
Gu Xijiu subconsciously blinked her eyes repeatedly. It all felt too strange to her. Furthermore, she usually did not like to have close interaction with men; however, she did not feel irritated by Di Fuyi. Instead, she felt a sense of familiarity and security. In fact, she longed for his embrace.
He seemed to be her fiance, for real. Perhaps, they were even very close. Since he was her fiance, Gu Xijiu decided not to be too conservative. She gently cleared her throat and spoke, "Fine, I will show you; you get up first."
She was very nervous as he held her down. Her heart was racing, and she could barely breathe! Finally, Di Fuyi got up and let her go. He sat beside the bed and checked her pulse. A moment later, he pulled back his hand and asked, "Are you nervous? Your heart is racing!"
Gu Xijiu blushed. "I think the weather is too hot."
Di Fuyi almost laughed and replied with an evil smile, " I see; the weather is really too hot."
Gu Xijiu’s face was even hotter now. She was embarrassed and shouted, "I do not want you to check my wounds anymore!"
There was still some paint on her face; however, Di Fuyi could still see that she pursed her lips and that her eyes were wide open. That was his first time seeing her getting angry. Thus, he decided not to tease her anymore. He raised his hand and placed it on her shoulder. "Silly, why would you get angry when I try to please you? Come here, let me check on your wound."
Gu Xijiu was somewhat surprised at herself; she knew that she was generally not a hot-tempered person. However, she had no idea why she just wanted to be unreasonable in front of him. Nevertheless, his calmness rubbed off her. Finally, she lied down again.
