Gu Xijiu watched Long Siye fishing to kill her boredom. Lush trees shaded the lake, and the air was full of grass and wooden scents.
Long Siye occasionally looked at her while he caught fishes for her meal. She seemed to be playing with stones all the while. In fact, it is just an illusion," she looked up into his bucket and said. "Wow, you have caught three fishes! I can go and cook them now. You don’t have to fish anymore; it will be a waste."
Was it just an illusion? Long Siye was disappointed by the answer he received. He then went to prepare the fishes for cooking.
The two were on the edge of the lake. Gu Xijiu squatted there, watching him work. His kind gesture touched her. After all, she did get along with Long Siye like this in the modern world. Long Siye did remember it correctly.
