Gu Xijiu watched as his obsessive-compulsive behavior was displayed by him cutting the meat into equal sizes; it was even neater than those cut by machines. She could not help but laugh at him. It was common if he had done all this with a spell, but this time, he obviously did it all by himself, manually with a knife.
The child had a strong behavioral pattern governed by compulsion. She took a look at his hair and his clothes. He had tried his best to look his best, given the circumstances. He would fall sick easily if his hair and clothes remained soaking wet. Therefore, Gu Xijiu raised her arm and performed the cleaning spell for him. Instantly, his hair and clothes became dry.
Shen Nianmo was surprised by her sudden offer of assistance. When he realized that his hair and clothes were all clean and dry, he gave Gu Xijiu an approving look and said, "Your spell is not bad."

Shen Nianmo started to get her into more conversations. He tried to get to know more about the mysterious person utilizing devious questioning.
The little boy was rather talkative. Nonchalantly, she sat on the tree, trying to tease him. She would like to see how he would react when he was offended. Therefore, she remained quiet throughout all his questions, pretending to be cool.

Out of anger, he turned his eyes toward Gu Xijiu and saw her enjoying the meat that he had just grilled. Gu Xijiu was still wearing a mask, so Shen Nianmo could hardly see her true face.
