Gu Xijiu saw Di Fuyi in the oasis. He was sitting beside a geyser as he waved at her while she was running toward him. She finally heaved a sigh of relief. "Here, drink it," he said as he delivered some water to her.
He sighed as he watched her finish drinking the water. "Xijiu, itโs almost time for me to go. Could you please forget about me? This is would be best for you."
Suddenly, her head went blank as if someone had struck her really hard. She quickly tugged his sleeve. "I thought you have three more months?" Why are you leaving all of a sudden?!
He remained silent as he glimpsed at her gently. She refused to let go of his sleeve. "Di Fuyi! This is not funny at all!"
He ran his fingers through her hair and sighed. "Xijiu, we are disobeying the heavenly laws and karma is about to come; hence, Iโve lost the three months of my lifespan as well..."
"Impossible!" Gu Xijiuโs voice sounded hoarse. "You... you still need to teach me all your skills. How could you die? You havenโt taught me anything..."
"Xijiu, someone from heaven will come and teach you. Take good care of yourself; my only regret is not being able to take care of you for the rest of your life..." His voice was getting softer as a seven-colored ray began to engulf his body. While she watched him slowly fade away in front of her own eyes.
"No!!!" She screamed and rushed forward. She wanted to hug him... However, he faded and finally disappeared from her embrace. She tried her best to make him stay, but she failed.
