We can go everywhere together; we can rule the world together and be at the top of the world together if you’re willing to be with me. We can spend time together every day and enjoy the wonders of life. We are a perfect match..." Long Moyan began to create a sweet dream for her.
Gu Xijiu looked at him with her head slanted to one side. "Did you just say we can go everywhere together and rule the world together? I’m the official Lord! You’re just a substitute Lord. The sky cannot accommodate two suns, and there are never two kings in a country."
Long Moyan paused for a second. "Xijiu, we will be a team if we get married; hence, it does not matter who is the official Lord. Besides that, you’re a girl, you shouldn’t burden yourself with these responsibilities. As your husband, I should share your burden. I know you have no interest in power; I’ll help you manage everything and you only have to enjoy the credit. Let me handle the execution part."
He sounded like he was going to work and fund the family and she could just spend her days relaxing and enjoying life. However, Gu Xijiu is not that type of person per se. Indeed, she had no interest in power. However, that did not mean she was a complete idiot on politics!
