Chapter 1737: Can You See Me?
Occasionally, Di Fuyi would kiss her lips and call her ’baby’. It was a very simple action; however, Gu Xijiu felt like crying as she watched the scene. Fortunately, she did not have tears in her current form; but, she could feel all the feelings she was supposed to have.
In fact, she had not wasted any of her efforts by following him around because she realized she recovered at a good speed. On the first day, her hearing and smell improved greatly. On the second day, she could taste the prayer items. On the third day, her sense of hearing was even more sensitive. She could already clearly hear conversations from a hundred miles away!
It was a night with a full moon again.
Di Fuyi got the staff of the tavern to get everything prepared so that the four messengers could have a good rest. Gu Xijiu somehow felt something was wrong with the four messengers as she witnessed them tear a few times. However, they always held it in and continued with the work assigned by Di Fuyi.
Gu Xijiu felt that Di Fuyi would probably take a good rest tonight. To her surprise, Di Fuyi made a tableful of food and asked the staff to place it in the garden.
He sat down with Gu Xijiu’s body in his embrace and looked up to the moon in the sky. He sighed. "Baby, today is the 15th of the month. You once said that 15th is always a day for a reunion, but we..." He paused. A moment later, he stuffed a pair of chopsticks into Gu Xijiiu’s hand.
"Xijiu..." He called her name softly. "All these are your favorite dishes; do you still like them now?"
Certainly, the body could not eat the food, while Di Fuyi did not dig in as well. However, Gu Xijiu, who was floating around, suddenly felt hungry as she looked at the tableful of dishes. Her senses were getting stronger recently just like how she used to feel before she died. However, that was the first time she felt hungry!
